Cafe and restaurant Příčný řez is situated in a quiet street just off Karlovo náměstí in Prague’ s Nové Město.

Established in 2002 and lead by F. G. Mayer, we aim to make our guests remember us for our attractive seasonal menu made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, and our friendly, relaxed staff.

Václav Kunc and art association Ozdobená příroda designed the interior of the restaurant to a true ambiance for you to enjoy.

Our chef, Václav Sviták, prepares a fresh and attractive lunch menu every day. It is composed from soup or salad, and a main meal, be it a sample of classic Czech, Mediterranean, or Vegetarian cuisine. Honestly – where else could you have for lunch a rump steak or fresh salmon and pay around 100CZK?

Finally, a cup of high-quality Italian coffee in our alfresco garden will certainly do you good.
